Oh Cat - what a scream! That was so funny I even read all the comments!

You could tell that the Arbots were trying to get a little good PR, and it backfired big time. HAHAHAHAHA The one dude who kept calling them pyramid scammers and telling them to "f*ck off" was hilarious. Imagine trying to recruit a bunch of writers into Arbonne - writers are not a rich bunch of people, so they won't be getting anyone into a mercedes anytime soon!
LOL

Cat

I thought you might like that! How are you doing these days? I hope you're feeling well! By the way, you have a beautiful family!

PC

I'm doing great - just tired and the usual pregnancy stuff.
I'm moving to Texas, too - so things have really been changing since I quit my blog.
Did you check out marykaysucks.wordpress.com?
heh heh
I still hang out there. *grin* and thanks for the compiment - your family is gorgeous too!!
:)

cat

Oooh, I love TX. I've spent a lot of time in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Moving is rough though, especially when you are pregnant!!
I did check out that site and have read several posts by you and a few others I think I probably know from your site as well as Quatloos. Great stuff! I guess I need to change my link to that one, huh? I'm a little slow moving with blogging ;)

And thanks for the compliment, too...

I figured it wouldn't take me long to find others who doubt the integrity of Arbonne! Gosh what a poorly run operation. The wife of my Karate instructor got into it so he layed the hot n heavy pitch on all the parents at the studio. How could I saw no to the poor guy right? He can hit really hard when aggravated! So in part as a favor and also as a survival technique, I told my 27 year old eternally impoverished Daughter about it. She went to one of the recruiting meetings and called me (the one w/the dough)..."hi Dad, boy this is great! All I need to get started is $350 bucks, can ya believe that?! Oh yeah, can I put it on your credit card?".....I figured $350 wasn't too much to risk so I ok'd the deal. Well.....several weeks later I received my credit card statement with a neat little entry from Arbonne in the amount of $1,400....oh yeah, big oops and poops from dear ol once again removed from his assets Dad....amazingly though, for once my Daughter was non-complicent and unaware of the error so we quickly agreed to quit, resign, and remove ourselves from the deal....not that it broke her heart, she hadn't lifted a finger to try being a rep anyway but that's an entirely divergent rant so on with the story...
I called Arbonne and finally reached a warm albeit ditzy body who told me, "Oh no problem, just put your RMA number on the packing slip, and enclose that plus a letter of resignation in the box and we'll take care of it" Weeks passed, big surprise no credit to my account. a few frustrating phone calls later I began to realize no-one at Arbonne seemed to be steering the corporate ship. I received more stories than Aesop ever dreamed of with either ignorant or perhaps more accurately, "Pinocchioesque" explanations
of why I had not received a credit yet. Finally, I received a credit of $850! Whoopee! After a quick tap-dance of glee my aged mind completed the mental calculations that alerted me to the fact that I was over $500 short of my original $1400. More phone calls and more diverse and occasionally entertaining stories of what might of happened to my money. All while the interest accumulated in ARbonne's coffers. Out of frustration I challenged the bill through my credit card company and they credited the amount back to my account. Well, at least until Arbonne came up with the idea that I didn't return the merchandise complete! Why that little tidbit never appeared in any of my delightful phone conversations will remain eternally a secret. So here I sit, stewing and scheming about ways to recover my money. Oh I'll get it eventually. One of the great things about being semi-retired is all the free time you have to get "un-screwed" from lousy situations like this! In the meantime, thanks so much for allowing me an outlet to vent just a little frustration over a company that seems to lack any ethical standard what-so-ever. Finally, some of you might ask, "was it the rep. or the company?" Good question, I'm thinking neither is very honorable but for the sake of my physical well-being I think I'll go with the company as the bad guy!!! Thanks again and pray for an Arbonneless world!

File a complaint with the BBB for Arbonne headquarters in Irvine, CA. They will have to respond. I think your case is so raw I would even submit it to the FTC. THis is exactly why they need a waiting period.

Actual Honest Arbonne VP

Wow! I too stumbled across this site, but I am from the other side of the fence. I am one of those VP's that you guys think dont exist... you know the kind that did 10 plus parties per month with only the one set she purchased for herself. Yep, that's me. Took it out of my bathroom and into other people's homes each evening and got my mercedes in 1 year.

I know that there are people abusing the results approach. It makes me nervous too. Because I know firsthand how to get to vp without buying 4 or 8 sets.

The company is top notch. They have an entire department working on getting arbonne products off of ebay. and a whole department working on "results" issues.

They have deactivated a lot of consultant id numbers because of unethical behavior related to "results" approach.

They are working on it, but can you imagine trying to keep up with all the hustlers out there that are just looking for an opportunity like arbonne? I mean, we have the products that really work, and you can get a car pretty quick doing it the old fashioned way...
Think of all the people in the world looking for a get rich quick scheme... and they are telling their friends .... becomes quite a mess when they realize it isn't get rich quick. It is get rich smart if you are smart about it.

If you have the sets, you should get out there and work the business! It is just networking. No secret there! You can do classes with those sets and never sign up anyone for more than $29. I do it all the time.. People really do love our products.

It isn't what you guys think. You just ran into the scam artists that got ahold of Arbonne. Our company is alot classier than that.

Have you reported these people that signed you up?? I'll do it for you if you haven't.

Sorry you had such a bad experience with Arbonne, but I know the real company.

Eric Cooper

Hi AHVP, My name is Eric Cooper, as you can tell from my signature and I worked in Field Support at Arbonne in various capacities from July 2002 until August last month. I know the REAL company too. I was there. I came on here to tell some of the inside story because Bob Henry, Rita Davenport and some of your fellow VPs are not being honest with you. I won't go into everything I have said on here again, just look for my various posts and you will see what I mean. Since you will not give us your real name as I have, I have no way of looking up your EOA story and knowing how long you have bee a VP.

However, let me please if I may, ask you a few questions:

1. Are you satisfied with the fact that you have to stress out at the end of every month over your team totals due to various webstats and other computer glitches which could be fixed if the company really cared to do so.Are you satisfied that you and your fellow VPs have to ask for month end extensions all the time?

2. Are you satisified over the fact that many on your entire team are missing products, have received broken up packages or RE9 pumps that don't work.

3. Are you satisified over the fact that increasing numbers of peple are having allergic reactons to several Arbonne products and due to manufacturing "goofs", products have had to be recalled.

4. Are you satisfied with a company that has had to spend many thousands of dollars just to re ship missing or broken products or, in many cases, whole orders, when the company could have easily spent that money on making sure that their manufacturing and distribution systems work right the first time??

5. And finally, are you satisfied with a company that allows dishonest VPs free reign to cheat and lie to people and rob them of their money and volume just to get to VP. THESE PEOPLE HAVE NOT BEEN DISCIPLINED OR KICKED OUT OF ARBONNE. Anyone who has told you that from inside or outside the company is lying to you.

That is why this site exists, much as it might upset you.I ask you to spend some time and go through the whole site. Oh and by the way, the "visit counter" on the right side has only a five digit capacity--actually as of the time of this posting, over 100,500 have visited this site to learn the real facts about Arbonne. Good luck with your business!

shocked

Eric.. are you employed now? seems you have a lot of time on your hands. you have the guts to post a name on here, but not the real details on why you left Arbonne, just you agreed to resign. It is obvious to all the pros and cons on here that you are bitter and angry, trying one handed to get even with a former employer and access to information yu can use to harm any Arbonne rep that disagrees with you. As of today 9-19-06, no one in Irvine CS has heard of an Eric Cooper

PC

shocked: don't you have a nasty used RE9 kit you should be forcing on a neighbor somewhere? No? You're the one who has a lot of time on your hands if you're desperately trying to discredit someone on the internet.

Lady Swisse, Viscountess DeePore

Shocked, um, he has already posted that he left the company to go back to college. Duh, learn to read before you try to insult people.

Eric Cooper

Hello, shocked,I am not at all surprised that they will say nobody has ever heard of me. They probably all know about my posts on here by now and are trying to distance them selves from it. I did not want to bring other names into this, but if you call 1-800-272-6663 and ask for Natalie Foley, Wendy Bender, Debbie Crim (all CS supervisors there) or especially the VP of Customer Service Kathy Huffman, THEY KNOW VERY WELL who I am and if they lie and say they don't, well I don't blame them for trying to save the company, but at this point you can tell them for me it won't work.

Eric Cooper

I have already posted that I left for two reasons, I could not stand my job anymore and I have gone back to school (Santa Ana College, California) to pursue a degree in Library Tchnology. By the way Stian Morck knows who I am too.Shocked, nice try, but you need to get a life yourself!

Eric Cooper

sorry spell check time...i was a bit po'd by shocked's posts

I just received my credit card bill and there was a charge of over $600 from Arbonee Date 4/9/08. I looked at that and said I didn't order anything from Arbonne in months- and- know way did I forget about $600 order. I immediately called my credit card company to dispute this and cancel my card. Then a few hours later - I contacted Arbornee to see why they charged me this. I got customer service rep and she begins to read a script- I could tell she was reading. She informed me that they recently did an audit and discovered that the order I placed 14 months ago 2/22/2007 never got charged to my card. I am in the financial industry- and- I am not stupid- you don't handle a true mistake like this- without contacting the client first. They can't just all of sudden charge my card 14 months later. I am disputing this - still do not have it resolved- but wanted to warn any Arbonne user- beware if they have your card on file- they may just randomly charge your card. Not good business practice.

Ex-Arbonne

There was a discussion on this on the WAHM boards. Lots of people got burned and I am hoping I will stay in the clear! Some people went on about how if you never got a bill from a big order it's your fault for not checking - you still owe it. Others were like how can they do that. What a mess! Good luck! You may want to post here too. http://www.wahm.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=545601

Never an Arbot

I was never involved with Arbonne, but many of my friends are/were, one of which is an (divorced because of an affair) NVP. I want to point out the fact that all but a few of the many women I can think of either divorced or had an affair, or both, during their time with Arbonne. I'm not saying that Arbonne actively promotes affairs or divorce, it just seems kind of ironic for a company that is so "family oriented".

Stephanie

I do like Arobonne products however, do not agree with how the business is ran. I was a customer turned consultant by a friend. I was completely taken advantage of and schemed..by a close friend! We have not been close since this all went down. The worst part about it is that she isnt even in the business. And, her "upline" had to turn her Mercedes keys back to the dealership...It was a horrible experience with much dishonesty and minipulation. Any time you can have just "anyone" run there own business it might not be honest. They make lots of money on "shipping" from their customers, I do know that. My friend was making $70 to $90 in shipping each party!!! It was crazy!!! I just assume to not get involved in these home-based businesses...You are just taking your chances.

Traci

Sounds like you got into a hornets nest. I never made money on shipping and sometimes I paid some myself. That's aweful to hear! You are right, there are people who take advantage and there are those who only want to help. I have left Arbonne but not network marketing. I like the business model and there are companies out there that are great. And others not so much! It's important to know who you are doing business with and it's important to understand how you make money before you sign up to do anything. Anyone who tells you "I'll tell you more when you get to that level" most likely doesn't understand it themselves.

Speaking of taking chances, there was a big story on MSN about people who bought Cold Stone Creamery franchises and how they feel they were mislead with the profit they would make. That's some big cash to lose!

At least in MLM the risk is small in comparision.

AnotherAnonymous

Anyone heard any details about Bob Henry no longer with Arbonne effective immediately?

I do not believe this

Wow. Are people like really against Arbonne for some crazy reason? I guess I just don't understand all the hate towards it. I am 18 years old and live in Wisconsin. About two months ago I signed up to be an Arbonne International Consultant underneath my Sister in law, and a week after that, my Mom decided to sign up under me. My up line consists of my sister in law, her best friend who is a Radiographer, her mom, a retired teacher, a woman who is planning to quit her job as an Anesthesiologist in the next few months, another Anesthesiologist who recently quit her job, and finally, a Doctor who quit her job last summer. I'm not going to go on about Arbonne, even though I believe they have amazing and beneficial products, but actually talk about the "scare tactics" people seem to say that consultants are using. Personally, I have NEVER heard of someone even suggesting anything along the lines of using such examples. It's RIDICULOUS. However, if someone has said anything along those lines, that just tells me they are not truly passionate about Arbonne products and sharing the great benefits with their friends and family. I am honored to be an Independent Consultant for Arbonne, and I know my family and friends love me for giving them free samples and the chance to purchase products using their discounts. To anyone who has had a problem with any of their products or customer service, contact your consultant. We are hear to help you get the best out of your new products, not turn you away!
